LA BIÈRE

BEER

WIKIPEDIA

The beer is a drink made from water and derived from the fermentation of cereals such as barley or wheat, as well as by the addition of hops. Its alcohol content is very variable, ranging from 0 to 67.5 % vol (though rarely above 15 % where fermentations are no longer sufficient to reach the desired alcohol level). Despite its rivalry with wine, it has been found on all continents for millennia because its production is quite easy. Over time, it has become a predominantly industrial product from increasingly numerous and important breweries due to its popularity, it is refreshing and inexpensive. It is also a symbol of conviviality, especially among youth and can accompany meals. There are many varieties of beer, first recognized in birology by the color of their dresses obtained through different malting processes (blondes brewed with pale malts, amber and red, with lightly roasted malts, brown, with dark roasted malts, black (stout) made from heavily roasted malts, white, with the addition of wheat and red made from caramelized malts). The variation in proportions of raw materials and agricultural products used (water, malt, hops, yeast, etc.) and the brewing technique delineate the various types of beers that are shared by the master brewers who, each adding different ingredients in their own way, then offer specific beers bearing brand names.
